The Climate Movement in 2026 is challenged on two fronts. On one front, attention and resources have shifted away from decarbonization efforts that were prioritized just a few years ago. On the second, the urgency of the climate crisis has escalated as temperatures climb beyond 1.5°C and approach tipping points. The moment requires us to re-evaluate our strategy, mobilizing scarce resources for the greatest climate impact.
This SFCW event will put pathways for climate action in the context of tenths of degrees celsius instead of tons of carbon, lifting up interventions best placed to stabilize the biosphere.
